How To Setup Passbook Printer Driver

The following steps are to be followed to change the existing printer driver from IBM Proprinter II to Generic / Text Only.

1.1. Install “Generic / Text Only” Driver

• Click on Start ==>> Settings ==>> Printers and Faxes
• Right click on the printer installed on the machine and select “Properties” 
• Select the “Advanced” tab. Click on the “Driver” Dropdown. If “Generic / Text Only” is already available in the dropdown, go to Step 1.2 (Change existing driver to “Generic / Text Only”). Else, continue following the steps given below. 
• Click on “New Driver” button beside the “Driver” dropdown

This will open up a wizard that will help you install a new printer driver

• Click on “Next” to continue. This screen will allow you to choose the Manufacturer and printer. Under “Manufacturers” select “Generic” and under “Printers” select “Generic / Text Only”

• Click on “Next”

• Click on “Finish”

This will install the “Generic / Text Only” Driver on the machine. You can now see it in the “Driver” dropdown.

1.2. Change existing driver to “Generic / Text Only”

• Click on Start ==>>Settings ==>> Printers and Faxes
• Right click on the printer installed on the machine and select “Properties” 
• Select the “Advanced” tab. 
• Click on the “Driver” dropdown and select “Generic / Text Only”

• Click on “Apply” button and then click on “Ok” This changes the existing printer driver to “Generic / Text Only” .
