How to convert any uploaded files to Google Docs format automatically in Google Drive

Step 1 : Open up your browser and go to URL - drive.google.com and login to your Google Drive dashboard section.


Step 2 : At the very right of your Drive dashboard there have a gear icon, click on gear icon and choose Settings option.


Step 3 : After clicking on Settings a pop-up box will open after that select tick mark on Convert Uploads section, then click on Done button.

Step 4 : Now the time for uploading any .PDF or .TXT format or other format file. When the file finish uploaded to Google Drive then right click on file and choose Open with option and choose Google Docs option and then close the Google Docs and you will see that a file is automatically created on your Google Drive.

Converted file name will be same as uploaded file but file type will be changed. You can check your file details by right clicking on files and choose View details option.
